LET IT SNOW part2

Here is the second video taken about 3 hours after the first.

LET IT SNOW

ok so if you haven't heard Cleveland is getting pounded (thats what she said) with SNOW. So here are two videos I took with the camera out of the front window of my apartment.

First, this is a Rascal House Pizza Delivery guy getting his car stuck in front on my place. Instead of helping him I watched from my warm apartment and shot this video enjoy. And I apologize for the screen being in the way.

I'M BACK!!!

Well its been almost a month since the last post. The reason being is that I have been extremely busy in the lab. In addition to that, I was preparing to give a presentation about my research to the department this past week.

Lets recap this month.
-NYG beat the Patriots !!!!! best superbowl ever.

Concerts that I have seen this month:
Well the only ones I saw were at the grog shop
-Kris Roe of the Ataris performed Blues Skies.. acoustic. Very cool and intimate
-Finch w/Oh, Sleeper and Sound the Alarm. awesome show, great to see Finch is back together and Oh, Sleeper put on a crazy show
-The Loved Ones w/ Gaslight Anthem. great show, punk. The Loved Ones sound like Alkaline Trio and Hot Water Music. I highly suggest checking out there most current album "Build and Burn"

Movies that I saw this month:
This friday I saw There Will Be Blood, starring Daniel Day Lewis. I really liked this film alot, it was rather long. Daniel Day Lewis' character Daniel Plainview is a greedy oil tycoon in a portrayal of oil mining in the early 20th century. Must see

Also saw The Kingdom starring Jamie Foxx. This another good flick and great, crazy ending.

Some UpComing events for March
Going back to Toledo for the first time since Christmas to celebrate Easter.
Then the following weekend going back to Toledo to see Unearth w/ Bury your Dead, As blood runs black and few others with my dad, his first concert in a very very very long time and what better concert to see than this one ...Brutal

PAYDAY was yesterday ...YAY!!! (finally)

Recap the past week.

Well I finally got my gene (MyoD) cloned into two reporter constructs. It happened within the first two weeks of the semester. I dont know if that is sign of good things to come for this semester.

The above image is the very basic cut and dry of how I got myoD into the report vector.
Red is MyoD
Blue is the reporter vector

I saw the best concert in a very long time on Tues. night a Cleveland's House of Blues. The headliner was Killswitch Engage, and the openers were Dillinger Escape Plan, Every Time I Die and Pakrway Drive. Granted I had no money at the time, but it was very fun. I dont know if you heard Killswitch Engage's cover of Dio's Holy Diver. Well if you havent you should visit their myspace page. Its a great cover, and they encored with this. I thought the Cleveland concert goers were goin to tear down the House of Blues.

And last night Friday, we saw Emery at the agora. I have to say they put on a very impressive show. I got back to my good ol' days of drinkin Black Velvet and coke. I forgot how tasty and smooth it is.

Also I wanted to mention a little bit on Lost. I have no idea how this season is going to go because of the writers strike. But apparently they have 4 episodes written. But thursdays season premier answered absolutely nothing and created a shit load more of questions.

SLY running on his wheel

BRRRRR!!!!!

Its cold, its snowy and well, I have no money till Feb 1st. So what better way to spend a Sunday than blogging about what I have been doing the past few weeks. First off, I have made some great strides with my project in the lab. If you are curious to what I have been working on for the past months you can check this out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subcloning.

So when Im not slaving away in the lab I have found some time to watch some great movies. First, American Gangster, starring Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe. Its a must for any mafia, gangster movie buff.

Second, Reign Over Me. This movie is very good. It stars Don Cheadle (as Alan) and Adam Sandler (as Charlie). Charlie loses his entire family in the 911 attack on the World Trade Center, and is now suffering from post traumatic stress and Alan who was Charlie's roommate in college helps him in this difficult time. A must see, and a very different, but a good role for Adam Sandler.

I will also fill you in with what I have been listening to lately. Since nothing new is out. I have been delving into some old classic alternative, indie albums. I dont know if I would recommend these two cds but they are very good and since no one buys music these days all you will be wasting is a little space on your harddrive. So here they are..... Dinosaur Jr. - Where you Been. Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation.

So there you go Feebs, I hope that wets your whistle for a bit.

GO PACKERS!!!!!
